The first batch of over 180 tourists from Yunnan province arrived in Chenzhou for travel on April 9, kicking off the “Ten Thousand Yunnan Tourists Charter Flight to Chenzhou” activity.

The welcome ceremony was held at the Chenyang Theater in Yuhouli, featuring dance performances, interactive sessions to greet the guests from afar. Cultural and creative souvenirs were also presented, making the visitors feel warmly welcomed.

The tourists enjoyed a night tour of Yuhou Street, strolling along the stone-paved path, tasting local snacks, and immersing themselves in the dazzling night scenes.

They will continue to visit iconic scenic spots, including Gaoyi Ridge, Dongjiang Lake, Yangtian Lake Grassland, and Mangshan Wuzhi Peak.

Yunnan is a celebrated tourist destination in China, famous for its snow-capped mountains, rainforests, Erhai Lake, and terraced field. Those from Yunnan are seasoned travelers spoiled for stunning scenery. That they still travel thousands of miles specially to Chenzhou speaks volumes about the city’s highly acclaimed cultural and tourism resources. It also reflects Chenzhou’s solid achievements in deepening cooperation with major tourist source markets and launching targeted promotions.

Since March this year, Chenzhou has held a series of cultural and tourism promotion events in Yunnan, introduced incentives for travel agencies to bring tourists to Chenzhou, and collaborated with top Yunnan tour operators to design tailored routes, making this cross-provincial tourism campaign a reality.

This event will last until June 6. There will be one charter flight per day. It is expected to bring more than 10,000 tourists from Yunnan to Chenzhou in total.
