Shazhou Red Scenic Area in Rucheng County of Chenzhou City was crowded with visitors on September 4. A guide Zhu Shuhua had just led tourists to visit the “Warmth of Half A Quilt” themed exhibition hall, and hurriedly rushed to the next attraction.
Rucheng County, centered around the 4A level scenic spot of the Red Shazhou, has achieved a leapfrog development through the integration of Red resources and deep integration of cultural tourism, welcoming a series of grand events.
The final of the Hunan Provincial Guide Competition was held in Shazhou. More than 40 universities’ study groups gathered in Shazhou to carry out social practice. More than 6,000 students from the entire county walked into Shazhou Village for Red classes.
According to statistics, in the first half of the year, Rucheng County received 3.9807 million domestic and foreign tourists, achieving a total tourism revenue of 4.15 billion yuan.
Rucheng county has expanded dozens of Red attractions and restored numerous revolutionary sites.
Relying on the in-depth implementation of the special action plan for the revitalization of rural areas around Shazhou Village and the demonstration zone of common prosperity, Rucheng Construction has developed popular scenic spots such as Wenshi Yao Township, Taling Yao Village, and Little Lijiang River, and opened more than 30 Red homestay inns to meet various needs of tourists such as learning, sightseeing, eating, amusement, accommodation, and transportation.
Relying on Red resources, the county has carried out Red study tours. It innovatively constructed an ideological and political education system involving in schools, industries, society, and scenic spots, developing over 200 campus ideological and political courses, more than 80 industry ideological and political courses, and over 30 micro ideological and political courses for scenic spots.
It also carried out publicity activities for different groups, so that Red education can cover urban and rural areas. As of now, more than 300,000 publicity activities have been carried out for tourists.
