Ruili Airlines launched its first direct flight from Kunming of Yunnan Province to Qingdao of Shandong Province with a stopover at Chenzhou City on April 7 in Beihu Airport of Chenzhou City.

After the maiden flight DR6579 landed smoothly, the airport welcomed the flight with the “water arch” ceremony, the highest honor in civil aviation. Two fire engines sprayed out huge water arches, and the plane slowly passed through them, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.

The route operates every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with the following specific flight schedules:
Flight DR6579 departs from Kunming at 11:55 and arrives in Chenzhou at 14:35; it then departs from Chenzhou at 15:45 and arrives in Qingdao at 18:30.
Flight DR6580 departs from Qingdao at 19:35, arrives in Chenzhou at 22:25; it then departs from Chenzhou at 23:15 and arrives in Kunming at 01:30 next day.

The opening of the new air route has greatly facilitated business exchanges and tourism travel between the three places. Passengers from Chenzhou can now directly reach Kunming and Qingdao without transfer.
