Huatai City is a major infrastructure project in Chenzhou City, with a planned land area of over 660 mu (44 hectares), a total construction area of 1.5 million square meters and a total investment of 3.53 billion yuan. It is the largest in Chenzhou and Southern China, and the largest commercial market complex within hundreds of kilometers of the border among Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces.

Huatai City will serve as a model for the development of commerce and logistics in China’s third- and fourth-tier cities. It will also become a demonstration zone for the transformation and development of third- and fourth-tier cities in southern Hunan, and a model for the development of commerce and logistics in the central urban agglomeration and the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration.

Huatai City will be developed into a leading commercial and logistics market cluster of third- and fourth-tier cities in central and southern China, an intelligent, park-like, and commercial experiential shopping park, a new urban center that is suitable for business, living, tourism, and ecological sustainable development.

A Chinese Dream Youth Science Popularization Education Experience Base will be built here. There will be five major areas--a trade zone for daily necessities, a culture, entertainment & catering area, an integrated international business and financial services area, an international residential area, and a logistics area, as well as three major centers, including an information management center, a comprehensive service center, and a logistics center. A riverside commercial street and a pedestrian street will also be built.
