Panwang Yaojia Restaurant

Panwang Yaojia Restaurant is located in the Nanling Avenue of Beihu District, where you can taste the “Nine Big Bowls” (nine dishes), a specialty food of the Miao ethnic group. The interior environment of the restaurant is unique, with a Yao ethnic decoration style. There is a wind and rain corridor resembling a stilted building, a vegetable garden and a clay stove in which cured meat is being smoked.

The restaurant was established in 2010 and has been run for 14 years. With its distinctive Yao ethnic cuisine, it has gained a good reputation in Chenzhou. Li Xianhong, the company’s founder, comes from Baohe Yao Township, Beihu District, Chenzhou City, and is also the inheritor of the Yao dish “Nine Big Bowls” making skills, an intangible cultural heritage item.

For him, it is very meaningful to inherit the culinary culture of the Yao ethnic group, and allow people to have a better understanding of this ancient ethnic group.
