Yongxing Bingtang Orange is a high-quality fruit with a sweet and refreshing taste developed by agricultural technicians in Yongxing County through strain selection.

In 1995, it won the gold medal at the 2nd China Agricultural Expo. From 1999 to 2005, it won the gold medal and best-selling product award at the Hunan Agricultural Expo for seven consecutive years.

It is a famous citrus brand product in Hunan Province. On November 29, 2009, Yongxing Bingtang Orange was listed among the “Top Ten Famous Oranges in China” at the 2009 National Famous Fruit Exhibition and the China Fruit and Vegetable Industry Brand Forum held in Xi’an of Shaanxi.

Yongxing Bingtang Orange has a regular shape, a bright color, thin skin, and few seeds with a sweet and refreshing taste. The mature fruit has a nearly spherical shape, with an average weight of 151g and a skin thickness of 0.25cm. The fruit gets ripe in early to mid-November, and can be stored for a long time.

According to the test conducted by the Citrus and Seedling Quality Inspection Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of China, the soluble solid content of Yongxing Bingtang Orange is 13.5%, and its total sugar content is 12.11%. Its edible rate is over 73%, and the vitamin C content is 59.7mg/100ml, with high nutritional value and many health benefits.

Yongxing Bingtang Orange has been sold in large and medium-sized cities such as Chenzhou, Changsha, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing, with a preliminary product sales network established and stable marketing outlets set up in some of these cities.

In 2004, Yongxing Bingtang Orange was also exported to Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, achieving export earnings, further enhancing the product’s popularity, and expanding market space. Due to increased brand promotion and marketing efforts, the commodity rate of Yongxing Bingtang Orange has now reached over 85%.
