'Moonlit Night on Dongjiang Lake' kicks off

On the evening of August 16, a new tourism project “Moonlit Night on the Dongjiang Lake” was officially launched under the witness of thousands of citizens and tourists in the Dongjiang Bay, Zixing City.

The event kicked off with the passionate and cheerful opening dance “Water Drum Dance, the Chinese Dragon”. Thousands of tourists and citizens enjoyed a romantic and cool time together that night. In the following artistic performance, the dancers’ soft and agile dance ignited the enthusiasm of the audience.

The “Moonlit Night on the Dongjiang Lake” is a nighttime cultural tourism consumption product created by the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area. It aims to echo the 2022 Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference, further enriching the tourism industry and lengthening the tourism industry chain.

The content of the project mainly includes nighttime bamboo rafting, night performances, water bicycles, water sports cars, sailing boats and paddle boards, covering multiple consumption chains such as catering, tea ceremony, bar, entertainment and performance.

With a planned comprehensive investment of 200 million yuan, the project can not only make up for the lack of experiential projects in the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area, but also become a new growth point of nighttime economy in Zixing.

Based on Hunan Tourism Development Conference and Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference, Zixing City has been focusing on the construction of projects, especially tourism projects since this year.

Centering on the goal of “holding a meeting and revitalizing a city”, it vigorously develops the nighttime economy. The Dongjiang Bay has become a new Internet-famous site of the “nighttime economy” thanks to the efforts to strengthen the infrastructure construction along the Dongjiang Bay, build the Dongjiang Bay trail and beautify the lighting of the Dongjiang Suspension Bridge.
