Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference opens

On the morning of August 18, the launching ceremony of the 2022 Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference, as well as Guidong County Summer Resort Festival, was opened in Qingzhu Village, Guidong County, Chenzhou City.

This is the first time Chenzhou City held the summer festival. The launching ceremony promoted the tourism resources and tour routes, and presented the first batch of experience officers with flags.

The festival was held along with such activities as the “I feel cool” Guidong Mountain Outdoor Summer Friendship Club, the wellness and leisure tourism season, the high mountain aerobic health tour, and the original ecological health mountain delicacies season.

The new Chenzhou tourism routes of Shazhou, Shatian and Qingzhu were launched simultaneously, inviting visitors from all over the world to enjoy the journey of green water and green mountains, negative oxygen ions, red culture, folk customs and green food.

Guidong is the county with the highest elevation in Hunan Province, with a forest coverage rate of 85% and an average temperature of only about 23℃ in summer. The average negative oxygen ion content is 25,000 per cubic centimeter and the highest instantaneous amount reaches 150,000. Guidong is recognized as the “county with the highest negative oxygen ion concentration” by the China Records Headquarters.

Here, you can enjoy the scenery of Hunan Bamianshan National Nature Reserve, Qiyunfeng National Forest Park, Grassy Hill, Qingexian Scenic Area and Sanqian Lakes.

Guidong County’s air quality reaches the national primary standard. Its climate is warm in winter and cool in summer. Guidong is an old revolutionary area and the place where the “Three Main Rules of Discipline and Six Points for Attention” was launched.

The “First Army Regulation” is the most dazzling red brand of Guidong. The original taste is the biggest feature of Guidong’s natural green food. The special cultural tourism product “Guidong Cooling Ticket” was launched at the ceremony. During this Summer Festival, visitors holding the “Guidong Cooling Ticket” can enjoy specific consumer discounts at specific shops.

Since July 2022, Guidong has been receiving more than 20,000 visitors a day, and more than 15,000 beds in more than 600 homestay inns have been fully occupied. Many homestay inns have been built in a number of villages such as Qingzhu Village, Qiuli Village, Jindong Village, Baizhu Village, Liuyuan Village and Beixi Village.

Driven by the homestay summer resort economy, Guidong County received 1.52 million tourists from January to July this year, which brought a total tourism income of 1.239 billion yuan.
