Linwu Duck is one of the eight famous ducks in China and a national geographical indication protection product. It is mainly produced in the Wushui River basin of Linwu County. It has been a royal tribute for thousands of years and is famous in the southern Hunan and northern Guangdong.

Compared with other ducks, Linwu ducks grow in farmland, rivers, mountain ponds, and reservoirs, and feed on clams as well as shrimp, making their meat extremely tender and delicious. The growth cycle of Linwu duck is twice that of other duck breeds, but the weight is only half that of others.

Linwu Duck is rich in 8 essential amino acids for the human body. Compared with other duck breeds, it has a wide variety of amino acids and high content, with the content of glutamic acid more than twice that of other duck breeds.
It contains inosinic more than twice than that of other duck breeds, so it has excellent meat quality.

Its unsaturated fatty acids account for 82% of the total fat, while the proportion of saturated fatty acids is very small. This unique fatty acid structure, similar to that of deep-sea fish oil, is extremely beneficial to human health.
Besides, Linwu Duck is a kind of food rich in calcium, zinc, and selenium, and the content of these trace elements are significantly higher compared with other duck breeds.
