Nonferrous metal enterprises in Guiyang County of Chenzhou City are busy with production to achieve the annul targets, showcasing the thriving development of the nonferrous metal industry.

In the production workshop of Hunan Kangze Environmental Protection Technology Company, huge mechanical claws grab waste batteries in the storage bin and transport them to the automatic dismantling line for processing.

After dismantling, sorting, smelting, electrolysis and other processes, waste batteries can be separated into recycled lead, industrial sulfuric acid, plastics and other raw materials for recycling, with a comprehensive resource utilization rate of up to 99%.

This production line can process 400 tons of waste battery raw materials per day, producing 360 tons of lead, which can then be turned into over 300 tons of finished lead ingots after refining and casting, with a daily output value of about 4 million yuan.

It’s the peak sales season at the end of the year, and the company's output value reached 140 million yuan this month. 30 mu (2 hectares) of land is reserved for a second phase waste recycling production line for lithium batteries, photovoltaic panels, and other waste materials.

“Currently, the daily waste disposal volume is about three to four hundred tons, with an output value of around four million yuan. Based on the current production situation, we have set a target of an annual output value of 1.5 billion yuan by 2026. The business environment in the county is very favorable now, and the park also offers much help to enterprises. We have great hope and confidence in achieving the annual target for 2026,” said Shen Liming, vice chairman of Hunan Kangze Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.

At Haoyu New Materials Co., Ltd., workers drive forklifts to load the produced zinc ingots onto transport trucks, waiting for bulk shipments. The zinc is extracted from industrial solid waste, which is then purified into high-purity zinc oxide using rotary kiln volatilization process, before electrolyzed into zinc ingots for non-ferrous metal regeneration.

Zinc ingots have a wide range of applications in die-casting, electroplating, and light industry.

In the fourth quarter, the company's production remained stable, and the demand for metal smelting orders increased.

“Next, we will continue to focus on technological innovation, reduce costs and increase efficiency. While stabilizing employment and increasing taxes and fees, we will move towards an annual output value of 1.5 billion yuan and gradually achieve high-quality development of the enterprise,” said Fang Hongwei, general manager of Guiyang Haoyu New Materials Co., Ltd.
