The Exchange Event on China-Africa Green Mining Cooperation was held in Changsha, Hunan Province on the afternoon of June 12. Kan Baoyong, mayor of Chenzhou City, made a keynote speech.
This event focuses on deepening cooperation in the mining industry between China and Africa, promoting the coordinated development of multiple industries such as green minerals, green energy, and green infrastructure.

Leaders from the Ministry of Commerce and ministerial level mining officials from multiple countries including Uganda, Zambia, Sierra Leone, and Zimbabwe delivered speeches. More than 400 important enterprises and institutions in the mining industry chains, including mining, smelting, electricity, equipment, logistics, and trade, attended.
Kan Baoyong promoted the high-quality development of the mining industry in Chenzhou under the theme of “Chenzhou-Africa Partnership: Mining the Future with Brilliance”.

He said that Chenzhou has a complete industrial system, leading mining technology, an open platform, and practical experience in green development. In the future, they would seize the opportunities of the times and make efforts to build a leading zone for deep economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa, a demonstration zone for green mining development, and a leading zone for industrial integration development, further promoting the development of Chenzhou-Africa green mineral cooperation to a wider range of fields and higher levels.
