The R&D center of Hunan Tengchi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. in Yongxing County introduced Dr. Tang Xincun's team from the Central South University, leading local R&D talents to achieve key breakthroughs in the disposal and recycling technology of multi metal complex hazardous solid waste.

“The doctoral team will help us overcome the technical difficulties of removing thallium from high salt wastewater, and more importantly, they can cultivate a local R&D team that can tackle tough issues for the company. This is our most valuable asset.”

This is a vivid case of the county's efforts to promote the deep integration of industry and talent through the construction of provincial-level expert workstations.

In recent years, Yongxing County has been committed to building a world-class rare and precious metal industry cluster with high-quality development as a model for Yongxing. The construction of expert workstations has been regarded as an important engine for promoting industrial innovation and upgrading, and a work pattern involving “government guidance, enterprise entities, and industry-university-research collaboration” has been established.

To accurately meet the needs of the industry, the county organized multiple departments to conduct in-depth research on key enterprises. Through a targeted approach, the county accurately assessed the situation and effectively guided enterprises to transform technological bottlenecks into specific talent attraction needs and website construction directions. In terms of cultivation mechanism, the county focused on improving the platform level, actively promoted the establishment of stable cooperative relationships between talent working stations in enterprises and universities such as Central South University and Jinchuan Nickel-Cobalt Research Institute, forming a chain effect of “introducing an expert for a team to tackle problems in key technologies, and cultivate

backbone talents”.

At the same time, strong support has been provided by the local government for introducing and retaining experts.

The provincial expert workstations have become the core carrier of Yongxing's industrial innovation.

At present, four provincial-level expert workstations in the county have introduced about 30 high-level expert talents, and two doctoral innovation stations have gathered about 10 expert talents.

The four pilot projects led by Yongxing Yindu Rare and Precious Metals Research Institute Co., Ltd. have yielded fruitful results, among which the “preparation of spherical nickel hydroxide from nickel containing waste” has been put in trial production.

Hunan Jinye Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. has obtained 56 authorized patents and has been awarded the titles of “National Green Factory” and “Demonstration Enterprise for Comprehensive Utilization of Industrial Solid Waste Resources” for its core technology.
