The construction of multimodal mediation stations and innovative measures such as the “Online Rights Protection Service Station” promoted by the service station of Jiahe County Workers' Union for Protecting the Rights of Migrant Workers in Dongguan of Guangdong Province were successfully selected as provincial typical cases of optimizing the business environment in Hunan province recently.

This demonstrated the active role and effectiveness of the county's Federation of Trade Unions in optimizing the business environment reform.

Jiahe County has nearly 80,000 entrepreneurs in Dongguan, including more than 4,500 business owners, over 60,000 employed and self-employed workers, and more than 8,000 employees working in the industrial collaboration and cooperation between the two regions.

To effectively serve migrant workers, the Jiahe County Federation of Trade Unions has established a service station for protecting the rights of migrant workers in Dongguan based on the local party organization. It actively strengthens cooperation with the local federation of trade unions, relevant town and subdistrict departments, and participate in the construction of a cross-provincial one-stop labor dispute resolution platform.

This platform has promoted the implementation of the “one letter, two documents” initiative, which is a concrete measure taken by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) to safeguard the interests and rights of labors by issuing reminder letters on labor law supervision, as well as documents indicating the position and proposals of trade unions in terms of labor law supervision.

It guides enterprises to standardize their employment practices, strengthening the protection of the rights and interests of workers of new employment forms, and effectively facilitating the construction of harmonious labor relations. At the same time, the service station has innovated the dispute coordination mechanism to assist in resolving various labor disputes in the development of private enterprises.

It is worth noting that the “Online Legal Defense Service Station”, relying on the professional strength of Guangdong Guangzhang Law Firm, utilizes new media platforms such as Douyin and WeChat to popularize the laws in local dialect.

It regularly releases simple and understandable legal education short videos, and provides real-time online consultation and remote mediation services, enabling the legal defense services to break through geographical limitations and become more efficient and convenient.

The innovative model has yielded fruitful results. Since the beginning of this year, the service station has cumulatively released 40 promotional videos, participated in the mediation of labor disputes and provided legal assistance in 25 cases, and offered  legal consultations for over 3,200 people.

By cultivating work brands, the service station has continuously promoted the rapid and efficient resolution of labor disputes, contributing the strength of the trade union to creating a stable, fair and transparent business environment.
