Students were engaged in learning AI image generation technology at the classroom of the Xinqidian Vocational Skills Training School in Linwu County.

Chen Meixiu, who sells art and painting materials online, is one of them. Although she is proficient in traditional design software such as Photoshop, she feels the pressure of market competition now due to the rapidly developing AI technology. To her surprise, after only 5 days of training, her first AI video received 160,000 views on a short video platform and gained over 200 new fans.

Since the beginning of this year, Linwu County, based on the needs of industrial development, has launched emerging vocational training programs such as artificial intelligence trainers, drone operators, and battery manufacturers. These programs are free to key groups such as rural migrant workers, college graduates, and unemployed individuals. They can quickly master practical skills through the teaching method of “theory plus practice”.

Tan Sheng'an, principal of the school, said that over 300 people enrolled on the first artificial intelligence trainer training session. Due to its limited venue capacity, the school organizes teaching in batches. After the 15-day training, students can obtain a vocational qualification certificate issued by the human resources and social security department, which will significantly enhance their employment competitiveness.

As of now, Linwu County has conducted two training sessions for artificial intelligence trainers, with 100 trainees, 48 of whom have obtained certificates. It’s expected that more than 20 sessions of various vocational skills training will be conducted throughout the year, with a total of about 1,000 trainees.

This model will promote the coordinated promotion of training and employment to assist workers in achieving high-quality and full employment.
