Leading industries

The core of the “Five Good Parks” lies in industries, and the competitiveness of the industries lies in focusing on the main characteristic industries and forming economies of scale. The three parks, with clear industrial positioning, have promoted the high-end and clustered development of leading industries.

Yongxing Economic Development Zone focuses on the comprehensive recycling and utilization of rare and precious metals. In 2024, it produced 6,000 tons of silver, accounting for 1/4 of the total in China, 15 tons of gold, and over 60% of the national production of bismuth, tellurium, and platinum group metals.

The park has cultivated leading enterprises such as Yongxing Guiyan Resources Co., Ltd. The “Guiyan” standard gold and silver ingots have been certified by the Shanghai Gold Exchange. The company achieved the revenue of over 10 billion yuan in 2024.

It has become the first one-billion-yuan enterprise in Yongxiang County.

In addition, the park has also extended its business presence into the electronic information industry. Jenson Display has become a national manufacturing industry champion with its TN, HTN, and STN monochrome display module technologies.

Chenzhou High-tech Zone has made efforts to develop the non-ferrous metal new materials, electronic information, and advanced equipment manufacturing industries. In 2024, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the park increased by 21.2% year on year, and the foreign trade import and export volume reached 16 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20%.

Chenzhou Economic Development Zone has cultivated the big health industry. The output value of CR Sanjiu Manufacturing Center project in South China is expected to double this year. Nine Stars, a supporting enterprise of CR Sanjiu, settled in the park and started construction. A group of industry-leading enterprises and listed companies such as Vazyme Biotech have been put into production. The biopharmaceutical industry in Chenzhou Economic Development Zone has attracted nearly 90% of the pharmaceutical enterprises and leading pharmaceutical companies in Chenzhou.

The Science and Technology Innovation Pilot Base of high-standard construction of the rare and precious metal industry in Yongxing focuses on solving technical problems in industrial upgrading and chain extension. Among them, the Preparation of Photovoltaic Silver Powder and Silver Paste project is expected to reduce China’s dependence on imported photovoltaic silver powder. The park has also established a postdoctoral research workstation with Central South University for a collaborative innovation model.

As one of the three major areas of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Chenzhou High-tech Zone has promoted 102 reform pilot tasks. Among them, the land supply reform has been recognized as a typical case by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.

The park has built the Chenfo Research Institute with Foshan High-tech Zone, developed new products such as the Yuzhu automatic slicer, and explored the “Single E-lock Scheme” customs clearance mode among Hunan, Guangdong, and Hong Kong, with the transportation time of goods reduced by 40%.

The Chenjiang Laboratory in Chenzhou Economic Development Zone is under the trial operation. Yongxing Economic Development Zone has made efforts to build a waste-free park through circular economy. The park has strictly followed environmental standards to promote the transformation of the precious metal industry towards green, low-carbon and circular development. Xiangyindu Chemical Industrial Park, led by Hunan Haili High-tech Industry Group, has formed an industrial cluster by attracting upstream and downstream enterprises. Bolin and Taihe industrial parks have introduced 18 projects with the investment exceeding 200 million yuan each, including Hunan Salt Industry Group and Yunan Tin Group.

Chenzhou High-tech Zone is empowered by market-oriented investment promotion and supply chain finance. It has established Chenzhou High-tech Supply Chain Co., Ltd. to build a raw material procurement platform, with a revenue of 1.64 billion yuan in 12 months.

Meanwhile, the park has introduced 22 major investment projects such as Phase III of Delta and Electrolytic Copper Deep Processing of Junyang Environmental Protection Technology Company.

Chenzhou Economic Development Zone has improved the new materials industry and created a non-ferrous new materials industry cluster. The graphite industry cluster centered on Chenzhou Economic Development Zone has been listed as a cultivation object of characteristic industrial clusters in Hunan. It has developed the lithium battery new energy industry. The headquarters base of Willing New Energy was relocated into the park, and its neutron new energy lithium battery project has been put into operation.
