The forging and casting industry in Jiahe County achieved a good start in the first quarter, with the total output value of 88 large-scale forging and casting enterprises hitting 1.82 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.65%, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the industrial economy throughout the year.

Workers were busy fulfilling export orders at the production workshop of Jiahe Zhongyida Casting Co., Ltd. of Jiahe High-tech Zone.

According to the head of the company, new orders increased by over 40% year on year in the first quarter, with a production value of nearly 80 million yuan, up 20% year on year.

“Digital transformation proves to be the core driving force. For one piece of equipment, energy can be reduced by about 10% and production efficiency can be improved by more than 20% by monitoring energy consumption and equipment operation data in real time on the industrial Internet platform. The main plant of the Phase II project is progressing as expected and it is expected to be put into production in the second half of the year,” said Wu Linli, deputy general manager of the company.

A staff of the Jiahe High-tech Zone Management Committee said that the park has strengthened factor guarantee and promoted industry-university-research cooperation through policy support and service innovation to advance the intelligent and green development of forging and casting enterprises.

“In the first quarter, the park completed a fixed assets investment of 698 million yuan. The financing problems of enterprises have been solved through policies, and a special job fair has been held to ensure the employment needs of enterprises. At the same time, four high-end equipment manufacturing projects have been introduced to extend the industrial chain,” said He Junhu, deputy director of the Management Committee.
