Chenzhou Industrial Park sees significant benefits in industrial clusters

In May 2021, the cross-Strait Industrial Cooperation Zone in Hunan Province was officially approved for establishment. In July 2021, the Chenzhou Industrial Park of cross-Strait Industrial Cooperation Zone was unveiled, promoting the deep integration of Taiwan’s advantageous and characteristic industries like electronic information with such industries as nonferrous metal deep processing, electronic information and equipment manufacturing in Chenzhou.

Now, Chenzhou Industrial Park has introduced more than 30 Taiwanese-funded and supporting enterprises above designated size.

The “3+3+2” key areas refer to three world-class advanced manufacturing clusters of engineering machinery, advanced rail transit equipment, small and medium-sized aviation engines, and aerospace equipment, as well as three national advanced manufacturing clusters of electronic information, new materials, and new energy and energy conservation, upgrading traditional industries and cultivating emerging industries.

The “4+6” industrial clusters refer to four world-class advanced manufacturing clusters, which include engineering machinery, rail transit, autonomous and controllable safety computing, and small and medium-sized aviation engines, as well as 6 national advanced manufacturing clusters, including advanced energy storage materials, advanced hard materials and tools, power transmission and transformation industry, and new energy vehicles.

In the factory of Giantsun Power, workers were working overtime to make ordered products. The digital TV set-top box mobile power supply produced here is exported to Asian countries such as India and Thailand, as well as more than ten African countries.

Giantsun Power has been developing in Chenzhou for 12 years and is the first enterprise to settle in Taiwan Industrial Park.

As a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and development, design, production, and sales of switching power supplies and intelligent electronic products, the company has steadily developed over the past decade. The company now has over 5,000 employees, with a leap in output value to over 2 billion yuan.

Thanks to the thoughtful services provided by the industrial park, enterprises can develop rapidly.

Wang Yanxiong, director of the general manager office of Giantsun Power, said that the company has a stable customer base, orders and shipping channels. As of August this year, its sales had reached 1.8 billion yuan and exports reached 15 million dollars.

Policies for vocational skills work certificates of migrant workers from Taiwan who come to Chenzhou were introduced. Their work certificates can be directly accepted to facilitate their quick integration into Chenzhou.

To promote economic and trade exchanges between Hunan and Taiwan, and assist the industrial park in expanding its “circle of friends”, Giantsun Power has actively engaged in business for many years, attracted more than 10 upstream and downstream enterprises to settle in the Taiwan Industrial Park.

In 2019, Changxin Packaging, a packaging material supplier of Giantsun Power, settled in Taiwan Industrial Park. 80% of the products are provided for Giantsun Power, creating an annual output value of 20 million yuan.

The Chenzhou Industrial Park of the Hunan-Taiwan Industrial Cooperation Zone focuses on developing industries like deep processing of non-ferrous metals, electronic information and modern services.

Now, there are more than 30 Taiwan-funded enterprises in the park. Leading enterprises like Delta Electronics and Giantsun Power have emerged, achieving an annual total industrial output value of 9.3 billion yuan. It has become the industrial cluster with the most industries, the most complete industrial chain, and the most mature industrial ecology in the park.

Currently, the Phase III project of Delta Electronics is under construction, and Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Park is attracting investment.

In the next five years, Chenzhou Industrial Park will provide more favorable policies, strengthen investment and talent introduction, and plan to increase Taiwanese investment by 1 billion dollars and the number of Taiwanese enterprises to 100.
