On September 13, a press conference was held to deliver a report on the construction of the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Hunan FTZ) in the three years after its establishment. The Chenzhou Area of Hunan FTZ has achieved significant results in promoting the construction of the Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao economic cooperation demonstration zone.
The Chenzhou Area of Hunan FTZ has implemented the “One-step Approval Process” for 37 items and simple approval procedures for 39 items, achieved cross-provincial administrative services for 438 frequently-encountered issues with 5 provinces and 16 cities. It has also set up service specialists for enterprises and key projects.
The Sany Heavy Energy Project signed a contract in 10 days, the first machine rolled off the production line in the transition factory in 100 days, and the new factory was put into operation in 177 days, which all showed the rapid speed in the Chenzhou Area of Hunan FTZ.
Over 70% of the new major projects introduced in the Chenzhou Area in the past three years came from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
In order to integrate itself into GBA, the Chenzhou Area has strengthened the direct connection between Hunan and Guangdong, Hong Kong, as well as Macao, to realize no barriers in employment, consumption and other fields in the four regions. Besides, it has increased talent exchange, built 4 industrial technology innovation centers, introduced 8 high-end talent teams, and attracted over 5,000 outstanding talents for enterprises in the area by establishing Chenzhou Talent Group in cooperation with Shenzhen Talent Group.
