Chenzhou Area builds itself into modern industrial park

Since the beginning of this year, the Chenzhou Area of the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (PFTZ) has taken multiple measures to promote its high-quality development, accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system, and attract more industrial enterprises above designated size and high-tech enterprises.

On July 31, at the exhibition center of the Chenfo Intelligent Manufacturing Advanced Technology Research Institute located in the Chenzhou Area of the China (Hunan) PFTZ, a robotic arm was performing automatic application of sole gluing. “The robot automatic gluing system not only has high universality and good compatibility, but also is efficient and material-saving,” said Lei Wei, manager of the service department of the research institute.

The research institute is a high-tech industry technology innovation platform that integrates high-end talent introduction, technical services, project incubation, and achievement transformation based on the advantages of technology, achievements, and talents in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The project was launched in December last year and the preliminary construction of the exhibition hall was completed in March of this year.

The research institute is an effective attempt by the Chenzhou Area to make innovations and integrate itself into the Greater Bay Area. It will promote the clustering and high-quality cultivation of emerging industries, and inject stronger impetus into the high-quality development of the park.

In the first half of the year, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 8%, and the total import and export volume of foreign trade (including the Comprehensive Bonded Zone) reached 7.97 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%.

In order to empower high-quality development and accelerate project construction, the park has spared no efforts to achieve its goal set at the beginning of the year.

It has initiated the reform of land supply and approval, and improved the efficiency of construction application to promote the early start, completion, and production of projects.

It achieved a total investment of 8.24 billion yuan in the first half of the year, accounting for 63.28% of the annual investment plan.

19 projects including 10,000 tons of lithium carbonate of Jincheng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., electrolytic indium of Chenzhou Huacheng New Material Technology Co., Ltd., and the smart factory of Chenzhou Grain and Oil Machinery Co., Ltd. have been completed.

Also, it has simplified the approval process to promote the production of 12 key industrial projects such as Gospower’s industrial power supply and Wofly’s precision valve.

In addition, the Chenzhou Area continues to optimize its business environment, accelerate the construction of the smart park, build a high-standard government service hall, and improve administrative services.
