It’s the most representative scenic spot in Yizhang County. It boasts strangely-shaped pines and grotesque rock formations, sea of clouds and waterfalls, allowing tourists to take beautiful photos easily. Tourists can also breathe in air with over 100,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter.

The Mangshan Scenic Area includes Wuzhi Peak and the Mangshan Forest National Park. Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area officially opened to the public in October 2019, and the accessible facilities were opened for business in September 2020. There are dozens of scenic spots in the scenic area.

There is also the longest detached grip mono-cable ropeway with the world’s most advanced automation control system and cabins that can accommodating eight people, the longest cloud-covered plank way in southern China, and the cliff elevator at an altitude of 1,600 meters.

It has been approved as the first accessible mountainous tourist attraction in China.

Mangshan Forest National Park is a national 4A level tourist attraction with a total area of 198.33 square kilometers and a forest coverage rate of over 99%. It is one of the largest, best preserved, and most representative native evergreen broad-leaved forest areas on Earth.

Mangshan is located in the subtropical humid monsoon climate zone and is known as the “gene bank of animals and plants”. There are 2,404 species of higher plants growing here, including 58 species of nationally-protected wild plants at the first and second levels.

There are 411 species of vertebrates inhabiting the area, including 70 species of nationally protected wild animals at the first and second levels.

The most famous one is Protobothrops mangshanensis, which is the largest known snake species among the latest discovered venomous snakes. In 2021, it was listed as a nationally-protected wild animal at the first level.

There are many scenic spots including Tiantai Mountain, Jiangjunzhai, Houwangzhai, Mangshan Grand Canyon Drifting, and Mangshan Ecological Science Popularization Center in the scenic area.
