The project of the clean extraction technology and its application in combined dressing and smelting of complex tungsten and tin resources in Nanling Metallogenic Belt led by Shizhuyuan Company passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements in Beijing on April 27.

The review was conducted by an appraisal committee composing 9 authoritative experts from home and abroad, including Sun Chuanyao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and Xu Zheng, a foreign academician at CAE.
Given the complex tungsten and tin resources of Shizhuyuan Company, this project carried out technological research on the combined dressing and smelting process. Through innovation in flotation technology and changes in metallurgical processes and equipment, such technologies like continuous leaching equipment for tungsten-tin mixed concentrate and two-stage leaching process of salt phosphorus mixed acid and soda ash pressure boiling have been innovatively invented.
These technologies can solve such problems as poor recovery of fine-grained tungsten tin from flotation, high energy consumption, large slag volume and difficult safety management and control in tungste-tin smelting.
Since the promotion and application of the new technology in Shizhuyuan Company, the beneficiation recovery rate of tungsten has been further improved, tin has been recovered with economic value for the first time, and the energy consumption, cost, slag amount of tungsten tin concentrate smelting have been significantly reduced. The integrated production of beneficiation and metallurgy has achieved good economic, social and environmental benefits. This provides a demonstration for the efficient development and utilization of tungsten-tin-polymetallic resources in the Nanling Mountain region.
