In the first quarter of this year, Chenzhou High-tech Zone has seen fruitful results in the nonferrous metal industry, achieving a year-on-year increase of 81.9% in output value and a year-on-year increase of 102.8% in output value of nonferrous enterprises above designated size.

Shizhuyuan Company, relying on its profound mineral processing technology, has continuously advanced the innovation of mineral processing technology, and improved the recovery rate of metals such as tungsten, bismuth, and molybdenum to the leading level in the industry, further consolidating its competitiveness.

Hunan Silver, with advanced smelting technology, has built a complete industry chain for deep processing of silver. Its high-purity silver and silver-based contact products hold a significant share in the high-end domestic market.

Driven by leading enterprises, the output value of deep-processed products such as tungsten carbide powder and high-purity bismuth in the park account for 35%, with the significantly increased industrial added value. The industry has been taking solid steps towards high-end and refined development.

Innovation-driven development runs through the entire process, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development.

In recent years, Chenzhou High-tech Zone has established cooperative relationships with universities such as Hunan University and Central South University, with more than 10 cooperation agreements signed, laying a solid foundation for the leapfrog development in the first quarter.

In January and February of this year, the zone obtained 182 invention patents in the

nonferrous metal industry, expanding new application scenarios and market space through technological innovation.

It also helped set up a 1-billion-yuan free trade zone industrial development fund, collaborated with Central South University to build a pilot base, and created a rare and precious metal industry university research demonstration base, as well as a non-ferrous metal pilot and achievement transformation base.

With the accelerated promotion of pilot projects in 11 industries, including rare and precious metal bio metallurgy, the average loss and cost of enterprises have been reduced by more than 20%, which has effectively promoted the improvement of industry quality and efficiency.

Under long-term industrial cultivation, the enterprises in the park have seen constantly strengthened competitiveness.

Shizhuyuan’s “Intelligent production site monitoring of special tungsten-based new materials” has been selected as one of the top ten typical application scenarios in Hunan Province.

Jincheng Environmental Protection has become a national “little giant” enterprise, focusing on the research and development of comprehensive utilization technology for non-ferrous metal resources.

Hualei Optoelectronics continues to make breakthroughs in the field of compound semiconductor new materials, which has been approved as a provincial manufacturing quality benchmark enterprise.

The growth and breakthroughs of numerous enterprises have provided strong support for the rapid development of the industry in the first quarter.
