The 2026 Cross-Strait (Hunan) Youth Exchange and Development Conference was held in Changsha on April 16. Linwu Duck, Jiahe Daogang Wine, Aobao mineral crystal cultural creation products, and Dabujiang patchwork embroidery were presented during the conference, showcasing the characteristics of Chenzhou to Taiwan compatriots and conveying a deep sense of Xiangnan sentiment.

At the exhibition area, exhibitors from Chenzhou showcased the city’s unique delicacies and intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
At the Shunhua Duck Industry booth, snack products such as hand-shredded spicy salted duck, spicy duck and ginger-braised duck attracted many young visitors to taste.
Not long ago, Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson of the Taiwan Affairs Office, recommended Hunan-style spicy salted ducks to Taiwan compatriots at a regular press conference.
The Linwu spicy salted duck on display this time has a sweet and refreshing sauce flavor and a mild spiciness.

When paired with Jiahe Daogang Wine of different years on the adjacent display booth, it became the preferred choice for the Taiwanese to experience the flavors of Hunan.
As a representative project of ICH in Hunan Province, patchwork embroidery carries the folk memories of the southern Hunan (Xiangnan).
Huang Xiaoxue, a training instructor of Dabujiang Patchwork Embroidery, held an ICH horn hat in her hand and explained the historical background and technical features of patchwork embroidery skills on the spot. Leveraging the unique mineral crystal resources of Chenzhou as “China's Nonferrous Capital” and “The City of Mineral Crystals”, the Aobao Mineral Crystal Cultural Creation displayed mineral crystal frames, blind boxes and pendants, attracting many curious eyes.

A yellow crystal duck figurine specially designed and made for this exchange meeting, with the meaning of “One Duck Connects Two Continents”, became the focus.
"The four enterprises from Chenzhou that participated in the conference this time offered a variety of products, including food, beverages, ornamental items and practical products. It can be said that they have brought all the most distinctive cultural symbols of Chenzhou," said Chen Wenjun, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office in Chenzhou City. He hoped that through these down-to-earth communication methods, Taiwan youth can see, taste and remember Chenzhou.
This year’s conference attracted over 500 compatriots from both sides of the strait, including 400 guests and young people from Taiwan.
A variety of events will be held during the conference, such as the 2026 Cross-Strait Entrepreneurs and Youths Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exchange, Hunan-Taiwan Cross-Strait Art Exchange Week, and the Cross-Strait Youth E-sports, Music, and Trendy Culture Exchange Camp.
In addition, relevant policies and measures supporting Taiwan youth in studying, living, seeking employment, and starting businesses in Hunan will be promoted.
