Recently, tea farmers were busy picking tea leaves at the tea plantations in Yanlang Village of Yaogangxian Town, Yizhang County, at an altitude of over 1,000 meters.

In recent years, Yanlang Village has leveraged its resource advantages and introduced Huyi Agriculture to develop the tea industry. Through the integration of tea and tourism, it has helped local residents increase their income.
Agricultural technicians provide on-site guidance to help tea gardens to maintain their “Green Food” certification.

During daily management, the tea gardens implement green management throughout the process. An artificial weeding team is set up, and physical pest control methods are used to ensure that the tea is green and pollution-free. Coupled With high altitude, abundant clouds and fog, sufficient sunlight, and strict technical control, the tea has obtained the “green food” certification from relevant departments and won the favor of market consumers.

While tea picking is in full swing on the mountain, processing is busy at the foot of the mountain. To ensure the freshness of the tea leaves, the freshly picked fresh leaves will be sent to the tea processing workshop immediately. The processes such as fixation, rolling, drying and sorting are carried out in an orderly manner.
The organic combination of intelligent processing equipment and traditional production techniques not only improves the processing efficiency but also maximizes the unique fresh and mellow taste of spring tea.

Since 2015, Yanlang Village has introduced Huyi Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 20 million yuan to plant 800 mu (53.33 hectares) of tea trees and build supporting facilities such as tea processing plants.
It has successfully created two major tea brands, Yaoxianhong and Yaoxian Yincui, driving stable employment and income growth for surrounding residents.
Due to the proximity of tea gardens to scenic spots such as Dongjiang Lake in Zixing City, Shazhou Village in Rucheng County, and Chishi Grand Bridge, relying on unique geographical conditions and ecological advantages, the enterprise will accelerate the integration of tea and tourism development, injecting strong momentum into rural revitalization.
“At present, the order volume of our spring tea has reached 2,000 kilograms, mainly sold to high-end markets such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou,” said Ouyang Fei, general manager of the company. He added that the company will cherish its green brand and build a full-industry-chain control system from tea gardens to tea cups.
At the same time, relying on the existing tea industry foundation, the company will create a new business model that integrates tea garden sightseeing, tea technology experience, and tea garden leisure, making cultural tourism integration a new path for increasing people's income.
