The 14th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (CMGE) is scheduled to take place from May 15 to 19 at the Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, with the theme of “Dinosaurs Flying into the Blue Sky—The Kingdom of Mineral Crystals in the World of Dinosaurs”.

The 14th CMGE covers an exhibition area of approximately 60,000 square meters, featuring around 1,200 international standard booths. It is divided into four themed zones: mineral crystals, fossils, and meteorites; colored gemstones; handicrafts; and ornamental stones, gathering rare mineral crystals, top-tier gemstones, rare fossils, and exquisite specialty crafts from around the world.

As of now, over 520 exhibitors have registered, including more than 460 domestic ones and over 60 international participants.

This year’s CMGE has established a multi-dimensional activity system that integrates academics, transactions, science popularization and cultural tourism.

Apart from the opening ceremony, the National Museum Symposium, and the science popularization lectures by academicians, the classic brand event--the no-reserve-price mineral crystal auction, will continue to adopt an open bidding model.

Simultaneously, multiple themed cultural tourism routes have been meticulously planned around the expo, connecting mineral exhibitions, geological wonders, humanistic landscapes, and distinctive experiences into a coherent chain.

A “Little Geologist” experience activity has been launched, targeting children aged 5 to 10, with an interactive and fun session of simulating the excavation of dinosaur fossils.

Moreover, the mineral art exhibition and the mini-exhibition for mineral crystals will be held, offering a richer content and more diverse forms.

Since CMGE settled permanently in Chenzhou in 2015, the city has successfully held thirteen sessions. CMGE has become an important window for Chenzhou's opening up to the outside world, a core platform for the upgrading of the mineral and gemstone industry, and a bright calling card for international cultural and technological exchanges.
