Recently, students from the School of Foreign Languages at Xiangnan University successively participated in the 2026 Macao International Environmental Cooperation Forum & Exhibition (2026MIECF) and the 2026 Global Ocean City Food Expo. With their solid language proficiency and professional service literacy, they completed international exhibition volunteer services with outstanding performance, fully demonstrating the significant achievements of the school's efforts in deepening industry-education integration and innovating the cultivation of applied foreign language talents.

From March 25 to 27, at the invitation of Guangzhou Yinglong Exhibition Services Co., Ltd., the School of Foreign Languages of the university selected two outstanding student volunteers and sent them to Macao to provide reception and guidance, bilingual interpretation, and exhibition area services for overseas buyers.
From March 29 tolunteeo 31, the School of Foreign Languages of the university selected another 4 student vrs majoring in English to participate in the the 2026 Global Ocean City Food Expo held in Xiamen City. They were stationed at key positions such as the opening ceremony and international guest reception area, providing full-process support such as accompanying translation, procurement coordination, and on-site guidance, helping the successful hosting of this international marine food industry event that landed in Xiamen for the first time.

Two high-standard international exhibitions gathered guests from multiple countries and hundreds of domestic and foreign enterprises, with high requirements for foreign language proficiency and cross-cultural communication skills.
Relying on a mature school-enterprise cooperation platform, the School of Foreign Languages of the university, through strict selection and pre-job training, sent volunteers who completed various tasks with professional ability and enthusiastic attitude and were highly recognized by the organizers and cooperative enterprises.

In recent years, the School of Foreign Languages of Xiangnan University has continuously broken down the barriers between classroom theory and international exhibition practice, integrated school-enterprise collaborative education throughout the entire talent cultivation process, and taken large-scale international exhibitions as the “second classroom” for practical teaching.
