463 mu (30.87 hectares) of peach trees in Taohua Creek, Xialang Village of Fangyuan Town, Guiyang County are in full bloom, drawing numerous visitors to come.
Taohua Creek is a rural cultural and tourism destination that integrates flower viewing, leisure activities, and fresh fruit picking. During the peak blooming season of peach blossoms and the fresh peach picking period every year, it attracts a large number of tourists for sightseeing and experience, continuously boosting local rural tourism consumption and injecting a steady stream of vitality into the economic development of the village.
“This year, the peach blossoms along Taohua Creek may last until mid-April. We welcome tourists to enjoy the flowers in a civilized manner. Affected by the weather, our peach output this year is estimated to be around 50,000 to 100,000 kilograms. Currently, we employ over 20 nearby villagers,” said Peng Rucheng, the director of Guiyang Taohua Creek Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd.
In recent years, the county government has focused on cultivating distinctive agricultural industries, leveraging flowers and fruits as a medium to build a series of themed rural cultural and tourism attractions according to local conditions.
