The groundbreaking ceremony for the harmless treatment and utilization project of lithium slag developed by Hunan Dazhonghe Lithium Mine Co., Ltd. was held on October 29.
As one of the representative projects in the midstream of the lithium battery new energy industry chain in Linwu County, the project has significantly lower production costs than the industry level, achieving lithium slag reduction, harmless treatment, and resource utilization, with the lithium recovery rate exceeding 90%. It can also recover high priced metals such as potassium, rubidium, and cesium.
Once completed in 2028, the project is expected to build a production line with an annual output of 80,000 tons of battery grade lithium carbonate, with an estimated annual sales of 12 billion yuan, providing 500 job opportunities for the entire county.
