As one of the key projects of the 2026 Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference, the Yixi Music Floating Island Art Theater is located on the banks of the Dongjiang Bay in Zixing, which is now under construction, with all kinds of mechanical equipment operating in an orderly manner.

This project will transform from an old industrial facility to a new cultural and tourism landmark.

The project site was originally an abandoned water pump room and idle factory buildings, with outdated facilities and messy environment. During the renovation process, the design team preserved the main structure of the pump room and the ancient and famous trees.

After the renovation, it will become a high-value waterfront park, transforming from idle land to a public space integrating leisure, entertainment, and cultural tourism. The three major safety hazards in construction, flood control, and environment will be fully eliminated.

The project covers an area of only 8.8 mu (0.587 hectares). Through clever renovation, five functional areas have been planned: rotating cafe, music space, Hui’an campsite, cultural and creative zone, and the light and shadow art zone.

The aim is to create an immersive cultural and tourism destination that integrates leisure, entertainment, and cultural experience.

The project started construction in October 2025 and is expected to be completed and open to the public in March 2026. At that time, it will become an important window to showcase the charm of Zixing City during the Tourism Development Conference.

Once completed, it is expected that the daily reception capacity can reach 3,000 people. Through special formats such as music theater, cruise ship dock, and aerial viewing corridor, it will complement the natural scenery of Dongjiang Bay with cultural charm, effectively divert the flow from core scenic spots, enrich the level of tourist experience, and become a new highlight and business card of Zixing city’s cultural and tourism industry.

It will not only provide strong support for the successful hosting of the tourism development conference, but also continue to drive surrounding consumption, improve urban cultural and tourism functions, and benefit local livelihoods and economic development.
