Shangping water gate project under construction

Photos taken on May 8 show that workers are busy with construction of the Shangping Water Gate project in Jiahe county. It’s a comprehensive key water conservancy project mainly for irrigation, flood control and hydropower generation.

Once completed, it will effectively enhance the capacity of river flood control, farmland irrigation, power generation for irrigation and water drainage, and farmland protection, laying a solid foundation for a bountiful agricultural harvest.
