In the fields of Feitianshan Town and Bailutang Town in Suxian District, Chenzhou City, several new irrigation channels are winding and extending like “blood vessels”, which solves the water irrigation problem that some areas in these two towns once faced.

Lu Liangqing, the on-site manager of the Shanhe Reservoir Irrigation Project in Suxian District, introduced that the project has been fully completed and entered the trial stage. Currently, with the water intake reaching the design standard, it’s waiting for acceptance.
The Shanhe Reservoir Irrigation Project in Suxian District is one of the key projects in Chenzhou City in 2024, with a total investment of over 158 million yuan. The project officially started construction in May 2024, located in Feitianshan Town and Bailutang Town, covering 9 administrative villages along the route.
The project includes newly built main and branch canals with a total length of 45 kilometers, more than 40 main canals, branch canals, and agricultural canals renovated with a total length of more than 50 kilometers, as well as over 30 mountain ponds newly built or renovated, more than 160 supporting facilities for the construction and reconstruction of canal (ditch) systems.
