The Nanling Local Characteristic Crop Germplasm Resources Protection and Utilization Center, implemented by the Chenzhou Institute of Agricultural Sciences, is a special project under the Chenzhou National Sustainable Development Agenda Innovation Demonstration Zone.
Now, the project (Phase I) is under construction, with the west, central and east functional zones progressing in an orderly manner according to the plan.

The West Zone, as the core zone for grain security, is accelerating the construction of field engineering and supporting facilities for rice breeding and germplasm resource nurseries.
The Central Zone is currently engaged in site preparation and pipeline laying for characteristic cash crops, a digital citrus demonstration park, new variety breeding areas, a grape demonstration park, a protected vegetable germplasm resource conservation and utilization area, and a dryland grain breeding nursery.
The East Zone serves as a comprehensive functional area.
Construction is in full swing for germplasm resource conservation and utilization areas for traditional Chinese medicinal materials, lime, tea, tobacco, vegetables, and fungi, as well as multiple fruit tree demonstration bases and seasonal vegetable and fruit bases.

To ensure that the project precisely meets future technological and industrial demands, the Chenzhou Agricultural Science Research Institute has stationed a special working team on site. Working with all construction participatants, the team strictly supervises construction details and oversees the whole process.
This project serves as a key measure to implement the Seed Industry Revitalization Action and support the development of characteristic agriculture in the Nanling region.
Once completed, it will provide solid resource and technical support for ensuring regional seed security, boosting rural industrial revitalization and promoting high-quality agricultural development.
