Recently, the Hunan Shuangxin hog slaughtering cold chain distribution project was officially put into trial operation in Fengshuxia Village of Qifengdu Town. This provincial-level key livelihood project fills the gap in the modern hog slaughtering industry in Chenzhou City, injecting new impetus into local economic development while ensuring the safety and stability of meat market supply, becoming a new pivot of Hunan Province's meat reserve system.

On the hog slaughtering production line of the Hunan Shuangxin hog slaughtering cold chain distribution project, staff were strictly inspecting the equipment to ensure production safety, compliance, and stable operation in the future.

The project adopts advanced domestic slaughter production line design, effectively improving slaughter efficiency and product quality, forming a scale effect of production.

It also has advanced sewage treatment equipment and exhaust gas treatment system to make reasonable use of resources, reduce energy consumption, and ensure that emissions meet national environmental standards, greatly improving the overall level of the slaughter industry in Chenzhou City.

Jiang Shi, the head of the Equipment Department of the project, said, “In the key positions of the assembly line, we use imported devices, such as splitting robot introduced from Germany KUKA. We will also introduce more advanced software, such as the intelligent slaughter system, which will enable our slaughtering process to achieve a safe, scientific, energy-saving and efficient goal.”

As a key local agricultural industrialization project, the project directly creates 200 job opportunities and indirectly drives the growth of related industries such as transportation, warehousing, and breeding with thousands of jobs created.

Priority will be given to recruiting local villagers for the project, helping surrounding residents achieve employment at their doorstep. Currently, more than 40 local villagers have been hired.

Yang Hui is a villager from Fengshuxia Village, responsible for equipment maintenance. His monthly income exceeds 4,000 yuan.

The project is invested and built by Hunan Shuangxin Food Co., Ltd., with a total investment of about 160 million yuan. It is equipped with a 6,000-ton refrigerated warehouse. 850,000 pigs can be slaughtered annually.

Once put into operation, the annual output value is expected to exceed 2 billion yuan. The project not only increases the income of villagers, further promotes rural revitalization, but also improves slaughter efficiency and meat quality, and provides a stable supply of pork for Chenzhou City and surrounding areas.
