The production line of Chenzhou Diamond Tungsten Products Co., Ltd., located in Chenzhou High-tech Zone of Chenzhou City, was a hive of activity on February 24.

It is the world's largest ammonium paratungstate production enterprise and a national manufacturing single item champion. It has achieved continuous production for the first time during this year's Spring Festival holiday.

In the ammonium paratungstate production line, the machines are operating efficiently and the workers are concentrating on their work.

“From January to February this year, the order volume of ammonium paratungstate increased by 21.17% year-on-year. We didn’t suspend production during the Spring Festival holiday, making efforts to ensure the stability of the downstream supply chain,” said Li Shiqi, an intermediate specialist in the company's production support department.

As the industry leader, the company, relying on the world-leading “alkali decomposition--acidic extraction” process, firmly holds the global leading position in annual production of 20,000 tons of ammonium paratungstate.

Through independent research and development of efficient grinding and intelligent batching systems, the company has achieved a fundamental transformation from intermittent production to continuous and automated manufacturing. And it has established a complete industrial chain from ammonium paratungstate to tungsten oxide, to tungsten powder, and carbonized tungsten powder.

The key to cultivating new quality productivity lies in breakthroughs in core technologies. The special tungsten-based new material powder intelligent production line with a total investment of 500 million yuan is the “vanguard” project of forging new productive forces.

In the workshop, the huge electronic screen displays the real-time production status of all processes.

“By simply inputting instructions on the operation screen, continuous automatic feeding, feeding, and discharging can be achieved, increasing production efficiency by about 50%,” said Zhao Huituan, general manager of the Tungsten Carbide Powder Division of the company.

The production line adopts a double-layer layout, equipped with a factory “digital brain” and digital twin system, achieving full process automation and intelligence.

It has been recognized as a benchmark workshop for intelligent manufacturing in Hunan Province.

“We will continue to intensify efforts in core technology research and development, injecting strong impetus into the development of the non-ferrous metal industry in Chenzhou with higher-quality tungsten processing products,” said Xu Liqiang, director of the Party and Mass Work Department of the company.
