Recently, in the intelligent control center of Hunan Nonferrous Xintianling Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd. in Beihu District, real-time production and operation data including “staff, vehicles, equipment, and status” were displayed on the large screen. The staff sit in a clean and comfortable office, and with just a click of the mouse, they can control the robotic arm located 220 meters underground to complete the crushing operation.

Compared with the dust filled underground operation sites in the past, the company has introduced domestic intelligent crushing robots to achieve intelligent robotic arms for underground operations, marking the entry of mining into the “fingertip” era.

Li Zhenxing, deputy general manager of the company, introduced that the company has improved the intrinsic safety level of the production site by completing the automation transformation and full process intelligent upgrade of the ventilation, compression, and drainage systems.

The management mode of the company has also shifted from being driven by experience to by data, and the productivity of all employees has been greatly improved, with a year-on-year cost reduction of 10%.

Intelligence not only brings cost reduction and efficiency improvement, but also promotes technological advancement. At present, the annual processing capacity of the enterprise reaches over 1.3 million tons of raw ore, with an annual output of 5,000 tons of tungsten concentrate. The recovery rate of tungsten concentrate is stable at over 86.5%, and the mineral processing technology has entered the international advanced level.

From January to August this year, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Beihu District increased by 11.9% year-on-year, 4.7 percentage points higher than the provincial average growth rate.

Among them, Hunan Nonferrous Xintianling Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd., which focuses on the development of scheelite resources, driven by intelligent transformation, saw a year-on-year increase of 25% in profits and taxes, and an expected annual increase of over 40%, becoming a benchmark for high-quality industrial development in the region.
