There are mountainous areas, reservoirs, and forest areas in Zixing City, so some residents used to travel long distances to handle affairs. To solve this dilemma, in May 2023, Zixing Municipal Government Service Center launched the “Government Livestreaming” online service based on the WeChat video account platform.

Over the past three years, the local government has continuously optimized work methods, improved institutional construction, and strengthened business training, transforming government livestreaming into a regular event.

Nowadays, the daily average views of the livestreaming room exceeds 1,000 people, with a cumulative online service of over 2,300 hours. It attracted more than 360,000 viewers, and provided consultations and handled over 32,600 government service matters for the public.

In the Zixing government affairs livestreaming room, two streamers work simultaneously, with an average daily time of 5 hours.

Whether it is high-frequency matters such as social insurance and medical insurance payment, registered residence processing, or various other problems, the streamer will explain the materials required, procedures in detail, and offer service calls at each window.

In response to complex issues, they also provide precise guidance through the division of departmental functions, case simulations, and other methods, making it easy for the public to understand.

Data shows that all local residents were satisfied with the livestreaming events.

To provide more accurate services, Zixing Government Live focuses on the business windows on the first and second floors of the Municipal Government Service Center. The livestreamer provides real-time suggestions on service time based on the on-site situation.

After the livestreaming was launched, the online consultation volume increased by 40% month on month, and the one-time completion rate at each window increased by 25%.

Nowadays, in Zixing, watching government live streaming on the mobile phone has become a “new habit” for the local people to handle affairs. This “government service revolution” is using technology to solve problems with thoughtful services.
