Linwu County

Linwu County is located at the southern border of Hunan Province, in the southeast of Chenzhou City.

Covering an area of 1,383 square kilometers, the county has jurisdiction 13 towns (townships), 5 agriculture and forestry sites, one national forest park and 214 administrative villages (communities). It has a population of 400,000 and 11 ethnic groups like Yao, Zhuang, Miao, Dong and Man.

Linwu County is rich in mineral resources and has been acclaimed as the "minor home of non-ferrous metals" and "home of coals". The county boasts 50 kinds of proved mineral reserves from 9 categories, 9 large deposits and 12 medium-sized deposits.
