Chenzhou International Hotel, built by Chenzhou Construction Group, was officially opened on March 10, 1998.

In August 1999, it was rated as a four-star tourist hotel in China, making it one of the first high-star hotels in the city. It joined the Golden Key International Alliance and became one of the first 27 alliance members in April 2003.
