Chishi National Hammada Park is located in Chishi Town, Yizhang County, with a planned area of 1109.6 hectares. The park is an ecological protection park with the theme of ecological protection and sightseeing in peaks and clusters and canyons. It is based on the karst geological landscapes and vegetation landscapes, takes the protection of karst forest ecosystems and biodiversity as its core, and takes the propaganda of karst geological landscapes and ecological construction as its connotation.

Within the allowable scope of ecological carrying capacity, the park is divided into four functional areas: conservation area, rational utilization area, publicity exhibition area and management service area, adhering to the principles of protection-oriented, appropriate utilization, green development and green poverty alleviation.

In December 2017, Yizhang Chishi National Hammada Park was unanimously recognized and passed by the expert groups, becoming the first national hammada park in Chenzhou City.

On April 5, 2019, Zhang Runhai, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Magistrate, pointed out in the investigation of Chishi National Hammada Park that Hammada Park is a national natural heritage site with strong ornamental value. Chishi Town should build a tourist belt with the combination of the Chishi Bridge, and earnestly do a good job in the early planning of the construction to promote the tourism industry development of Chishi Town. At the same time, we should strengthen investment promotion, promote overall planning and coordinate with each other to solve the key problems in the construction of the park.

Zhang Runhai requested that the relevant departments should actively help the Chishi National Hammada Park strive for project policies, sum up good experience and good practices, rationally use and protect the natural ecology of the Chishi National Hammada Park, promote local economic development and achieve poverty alleviation through tourism.
