Mangshan Mountain National Forest Park was approved as a national demonstration unit for civilized tourism at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference held on September 25.
In recent years, Mangshan Mountain has built barrier-free facilities, including the longest single-track mountain cableway in the country with a length of 3.7 kilometers, an 8-kilometer cloud-covered plank, one escalator, six vertical elevators, and seven elevators, which together form an accessible system and allow wheelchairs to move freely at an altitude of 1,600 meters.
This year, a number of projects were added in the Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area, such as Via Ferrata, Cliff Coffee, wimpy bungee jumping, swinging rope and pet paradise.
In the first half of 2025, the scenic area received 25,800 South Korean tourists, a year-on-year increase of 320%. As of August this year, the Mangshan Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area received a total of 435,200 elderly people over 60 years old and 19,800 disabled people.
