The practical case of “Sci-Tech Service Supermarket makes one-stop online sci-tech service available” has been selected as a typical case for the Ministry of Science and Technology to deepen the reform of the science and technology system in 2025. It’s the only one selected among those submitted by prefectural level cities in Hunan Province and there are only two in the province. It marks an important breakthrough in Chenzhou’s efforts to deepen the reform of sci-tech systems and promote innovation in sci-tech service models.

The “Sci-tech Service Supermarket” is a hub-type technology service platform built by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau to fully implement the innovation-driven development strategy and draw on the concept of modern commodity supermarkets, integrating open ecology, interconnectivity, and professional services.

The platform was officially launched and put into operation on December 28, 2023, aiming to solve prominent problems such as difficult transformation of sci-tech achievements and inadequate connection between supply and demand, promote efficient aggregation and sharing of sci-tech innovation resources, realize one-stop purchase of sci-tech services.

Since its operation, the platform has comprehensively integrated multiple innovative entities such as universities, research institutes and financial institutions inside and outside the province, providing comprehensive services such as technology consulting, intellectual property, evaluation and financial support.

As of now, the platform has gathered 103 research institutes, 159 higher education institutions, 2,059 experts, 13 shared laboratories, 62 sets of instruments and equipment, collected 509 technical requirements, released 4,990 sci-tech achievements, facilitated 275 technology transactions and service cooperation.

At present, the platform has completed a comprehensive upgrade, adding innovative indicators such as intellectual property and R&D platforms, as well as an evaluation system to further expand services.

The platform has also established a cross-regional resource sharing mechanism with the Foshan Science and Technology Data Big Platform to promote the two-way push of sci-tech achievements and technical needs.

The platform was commended by the Municipal Party Committee in November 2024 and was rated as an advanced model. This national honor not only fully affirms the practice of Chenzhou's sci-tech system reform, but also provides valuable experience for continuously optimizing service models and enhancing the science and technology innovation ecosystem in the next step.
