The 2025 Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference will be held in Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area of Yizhang County, Chenzhou City from September 25 to 26, according to a press conference for it held at the Qingliangtai Camp of Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area on August 16.

The press conference provided a detailed introduction to the core activities of the conference. The highly-anticipated opening ceremony and cultural tourism industry investment promotion conference is scheduled to be held on the evening of September 25 at the tourist center square of Mangshan National Forest Park.

It will include a ceremony, investment promotion, and an immersive experience that integrates authentic cuisine, intangible cultural heritage exhibition, and Mangshan style.

On September 25, it will also organize guests to visit key cultural and tourism projects in Yizhang County, showcasing the local achievements of cultural and tourism integration from scenic spots to ancient villages, from ecological science popularization to folk experience.

In addition, a promotion meeting for building Chenzhou into a “world tourism destination” will be held during the conference, focusing on in-depth discussions of key issues such as brand building, facility upgrading, service optimization, and inbound market expansion.

To welcome the grand event, Yizhang County will focus on eight core elements of “Mangshan, Jiang Mengnan, hot springs, Layuan Ancient Village, Yanziyan Yao Village, Mangshan Ecological Science Popularization Center, Nanhuaxi, and Yaoxi Valley Resort”, and vigorously promote nine key tourism projects with a total investment of 1.673 billion yuan, which are expected to be fully completed and unveiled by the end of August.

In the first half of 2025, the number of tourists received in Yizhang County reached 5.799 million, a year-on-year increase of 9.39%. The number of Korean tourists attracted by Mangshan Scenic Area surged by 320%. The popularity of the regional tourism has significantly increased.

The noteworthy highlights include the “Great Love Gift” pioneered by Mangshan Scenic Area - the construction of the longest single track mountain cableway, cloud platform walkway, escalator, and large rooftop elevator system in the country, making it a truly “mountain without climbing”. It’s been awarded the title of “the first accessible mountain type tourist attraction in the country”.

The “Mangshan Fantasy Night” event, launched for the first time, which focuses more on business communication and tourist experience, will introduce merchants to revitalize Yaoxi Valley Resort, create a “non-stop” nighttime consumption scenario, and provide specialty foods such as oil tea and black dolphin meat, as well as hot spring leisure projects.

In addition, the opening ceremony for the movie “Breaking Through Silently”, based on the story of Jiang Mengnan, will also be held in September.
