Guiyang’s young Wushu players win multiple medals

The sixth Xiaoxiang Martial Arts (Wushu) Competition kicked off in Changsha City from January 9 to 11.

This competition attracted 127 teams and 2,889 athletes from across the province. The competition is divided into children and junior groups, covering multiple events such as traditional boxing, sabreplay, and spearplay.

28 young players of Guiyang county's martial arts association representative team secured 28 gold, 13 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

The association also won two honors of “Top Ten Martial Arts Schools” and “Contribution Award for Martial Arts Development”.

This competition not only provided a platform for young martial arts enthusiasts to exchange ideas, but also fostered their enthusiasm for practicing martial arts, and cultivated a sense of national pride and patriotism.

Next, the County National Fitness Service Center will take this event as an opportunity to deeply promote the inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture, carry forward the spirit of martial arts, and carry out more public sports events, thus contributing to the national fitness cause in Guiyang county.
