The four-day 2025 National Canoe/Kayak-Flatwater Championship (Second Station) and National Games Qualification Tournament successfully ended at Liaoyang City of Liaoning Province. 303 athletes and 540 boats from 20 provinces, cities and universities, including Beijing, Hebei, Liaoning and Hunan, participated in the competition.

This competition includes 25 events such as men's and women's single and double kayaking, kayaking, and four person kayaking, and a total of 25 gold, 25 silver, and 25 bronze medals were awarded.
Among them, Deng Suwei, a male kayaker from the Water Sports Management Center of Zixing City, won the first place in the men's and women's mixed double kayaking 500m.
Li Tingting, a female kayaker, won the seventh place in the K-2 500m (kayak double) Women. She also qualified for the 15th National Games in 2025.
Previously, Li Tingting won three championships in the K-1 500m (kayak single) Women, K-1 1000m (kayak single) Women and K-2 500m (kayak double) Women at the 2024 Hunan Youth Canoe/Kayak-Flatwater Championship.

In recent years, the local government has attached great importance to the development of water sports bases, continuously increased investment, and vigorously improved the office and training conditions of the Zixing Water Sports Management Center training base, providing strong support for the cultivation of sports reserve talents.
In 2003, the center was named the “Hunan Province Rowing and Canoeing Sports Reserve Talent Base”. It has hosted the 10th, 11th, and 12th Hunan Provincial Games, Rowing and Canoeing competitions, as well as 8 provincial youth rowing and kayaking championships.
In 2019, it was named the Hunan Province High level Rowing and Canoeing Sports Reserve Talent Base.

In the past 10 years, a total of 15 high-quality talents have been sent to the provincial rowing and kayaking professional teams, and 30 athletes have been sent to universities such as Wuhan Sports University and Hunan Normal University through specialized college entrance exams.
Since 1986, it has won over 200 gold medals and has cultivated many world champions such as Xu Junwu, Li Zaixing, Zhou Caiya, as well as many Asian champions such as Wang Hai, Peng Xiaojuan, and Zhang Pujiang.
