A theme activity for Bird-Loving Week was jointly held by the Nanling Botanical Garden and Beihu District No.2 Kindergarten in Chenzhou City recently. It combined popular science education, hands-on practice and parent-child interaction, sowing the seeds of love for nature in children’s hearts.
During the activity, science educators vividly taught children about bird nesting through pictures, stories, and interactive Q&A sessions. After the lecture, the organizer assigned two parent-child practical tasks: makinge bird nests using waste materials to cultivate children's environmental awareness and hands-on ability, and observing birds outdoors and keeping observation journals to record the beauty of nature.
Excellent handmade bird nests will be exhibited at the carnival science exhibition, and excellent bird-watching journals will be displayed in the Nanling Botanical Garden.
