Kan Baoyong, deputy secretary of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee and mayor of Chenzhou City, led a team to visit Gui’an New Area between Guiyang and Anshun in Guizhou Province to inspect the development of digital and intelligent industries, learn advanced experiences, deepen practical cooperation and accelerate the high-quality development of the digital economy in Chenzhou City from April 1 to 2.

Kan Baoyong visited the National Big Data (Guizhou) Comprehensive Pilot Zone Exhibition and Experience Center, Guizhou Yunshang Kunpeng Technology Co., Ltd., Gui'an Huawei Cloud Data Center (Yunshangtun) and Guizhou Big Data Industry Group.

He reviewed the achievements in digital empowerment, hardware manufacturing, green computing power, and market-based allocation of data elements, and held a symposium with Guiyang authorities.

Kan Baoyong noted that Guiyang, known globally as “China Data Valley”, is a pioneer and leader in the development of digital economy across the country.

“This visit has impressed us with Guiyang's strategic vision of 'daring to be first and seizing opportunities', its development philosophy of 'adapting to local conditions and leveraging strengths', its approach of 'leading enterprises driving chain-based development', its empowerment path of 'application-led integration of digital and real economies', and its business environment featuring 'targeted policies and comprehensive safeguards'," Kan said.

He added that the trip has showcased Guiyang's bright prospects of digital and intelligent industries, strengthened Chenzhou's confidence and resolve to accelerate the development of the digital economy.

Since Chenzhou and Guiyang have complementary strengths, he expressed the hope to deepen practical cooperation in computing power sharing, data circulation, industrial collaboration, and talent exchange to jointly embrace new opportunities in the development of the digital economy.
