“Carving Dreams in Southern Hunan”, the first intangible cultural heritage themed short drama, was shortlisted for the 15th Beijing International Internet Film Festival held on January 9.

The 15th Beijing International Internet Film Festival is a highly influential online film festival brand in China, known as the “Oscar” of the Internet film industry. This year's film festival was held from January 7 to 9, covering multiple sections such as film festival, forum, venture capital, red carpet, and awards ceremony.
It gathered over 2,000 creators, more than 100 celebrity guests, and multiple industry organizations. It is an important display platform for young filmmakers and online content.

“Carving Dreams in Southern Hunan” is created based on the local culture of Beihu district, deeply integrating intangible cultural elements such as Xiangnan carvings and Lutang sand jars, telling the story of the inheritance of craftsmanship by artisans in Southern Hunan.
It has been produced into a short drama and a movie in Chinese and English.
Since its launch, it has been broadcast on multiple mainstream media platforms, becoming a vivid practice for promoting the integration of local cultural and tourism, as well as the Chinese culture “going global”.

The archetypes of the film characters were recently invited to participate in the Eastern Art Exhibition to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the cooperation between the "Belt and Road" National Committee and the Chinese Embassy in Georgia, which was held in Belgium.
