Chenzhou becomes most popular cultural tourism destination

Chenzhou City was awarded the title of “the most popular cultural tourism destination” at the 2025 Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) held on May 15 in Guangzhou City of Guangdong Province.The 2025 Guangzhou International Tourism Exhibition was held from May 15 to May 17 at the Guangzhou Canton Fair Exhibition Hall. With the theme of “Meaningful Tourism, Enduring Connections”, the exhibition attracted more than 1,000 tourist destinations and travel agencies from 55 countries and regions around the world.
Among them, 12 scenic spots, travel agencies, intangible cultural heritage projects and creative cultural products from Chenzhou City were showcased at GITF 2025.
The Chenzhou Exhibition Hall is adjacent to those of popular tourist destinations such as Beijing, Guangzhou, and Hainan. The enthusiastic She ethnic dance and the long-standing ancient charm of the Hunan Opera performance attracted many citizens to stop and watch.
In addition, Dongjiang Lake, Mangshan Mountain, Yangtian Lake Grassland, and Gaoyi Ridge came onto the stage in turns, and released their latest tourism routes, warmly inviting tourists in the GBA to travel in Chenzhou.
GITF, founded in 1993, is known as one of the most influential international professional tourism exhibitions in China. Chenzhou has an exceptionally favorable geographical location advantage as it is adjacent to the GBA. The GBA is one of the most important tourist source areas in Chenzhou. Nearly 80% of the annual visitors from other provinces to Chenzhou come from the GBA.
For many years, Chenzhou has organized cultural and tourism departments, cultural and tourism enterprises, industry associations, and other organizations in the city to participate in the GITF, with its popularity and reputation increasing in the GBA.
