Chenzhou receives over 1 million tourists

On May 3, the total passenger flow in Chenzhou City reached 1.074 million, including 279,500 tourists from other provinces, a year-on-year increase of 295.10%, and there were 143,400 tourists from other provinces who stayed overnight, up 153.43% year on year, according to the modeling and analysis of China Mobile's signaling data by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. 

 

The core scenic areas have seen good results, with their innovative business models attracting visitors. 
 
In Yangtian Lake Scenic Area, interactive activities, parade, and lucky draws attracted many young tourists. The “1,600-meter cliff bed” launched by Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area has gone viral on the Internet. Gaoyi Ridge Scenic Area continued to top the popular list on short video platforms for its enchanting Danxia landform. 
 
The Dongjiang Lake Tourist Area launched intangible cultural heritage fishing lantern dance, water curtain light show, and “sky ballet” stunt, which boosted the dining and accommodation consumption in the surrounding areas. 
 
In addition, new formats such as night tourism economy, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and technological experiences continued to expand. The nighttime consumption areas such as Beihu Shuiyue Isle and Yuhou Street were crowded with visitors.
 
As of 12:00 on May 3, the 32 tourist attractions in Chenzhou city received 519,000 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 19.77%, and achieved a revenue of 63.529 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.97%. 
 
Among them, Mangshan Scenic Area (including Wuzhi Peak) welcomed 36,300 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 1.35%, and achieved a revenue of 11.605 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.35%.
 
The Yangtian Lake Grassland Scenic Area received 30,800 visitors and generated a tourism income of 3.38 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 67.86% and a 147.44% respectively.
 
Gaoyi Ridge Tourist Area received 33,200 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 120.7%, and achieved a revenue of 1.801 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 74.85%. Feitian Mountain-Cuijiang River Tourist Area received 25,300 visitors, up 184.51% year on year, with a revenue of 759,000 yuan, up 143.87% year on year.
 
Yuhou Street welcomed 31,500 visitors on May 3, a year-on-year increase of 74.25%. The 11 cultural relics venues monitored received 19,800 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 42.94%.
