The 2025 Chenzhou Agricultural Investment Promotion Conference was held in Chenzhou City on May 29.

15 agricultural cooperation projects were signed, with a total investment of 3.53 billion yuan, injecting strong impetus into rural revitalization.
Chenzhou is located in the golden climate ecological zone at 25 degrees north latitude, with fertile soil and water, suitable climate, and convenient transportation. The average annual temperature is 17 to 19 degrees Celsius, and the average annual surface water resources are about 16.44 billion cubic meters.
There are currently 10,800 square kilometers of selenium rich fertile soil, 3.03 million mu (2,020 square kilometers) of high standard farmland, 3 million mu (2,000 square kilometers) of fruit and vegetable planting areas, 1.08 million mu (720 hectares) of understory planting areas, and 9 industrial parks dominated by agricultural products.
It has a complete cold chain logistics system, a convenient transportation network, and a complete range of agricultural specialties.
In recent years, the city has cultivated 16 regional public brands of agricultural products such as Linwu Duck, Dongjiang Fish and Yongxing Bingtang Orange. It has also built 251 “vegetable basket” bases for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, ranking first among the prefecture-level cities in China.
The 100-million-yuan industrial clusters of vegetables, citrus, tea, pigs and grains, and tobacco are growing stronger.
The city achieved a total output value of about 200 billion yuan in advantageous characteristic industries and a processing value of 170 billion yuan in agricultural products.
A large number of agricultural enterprises have grown rapidly, and 83 enterprises have become leading ones in agricultural industrialization at the national and provincial levels.
At the promotion conference, Chenzhou City launched ten key agricultural projects, covering the development of selenium-rich industries, construction of facilities and smart agriculture, deep processing of fruits, vegetables, livestock and poultry products, providing broad space for enterprises to invest and develop.
At the symposium on promoting rural revitalization through private economy, representatives of business associations and private entrepreneurs all expressed their thoughts about the huge agricultural development potential of Chenzhou and its bright future prospects.
They will fully leverage their own advantages to actively integrate various resources, innovate industrial development models, and make continuous efforts in industrial upgrading, employment promotion and technological innovation to fully promote rural revitalization and inject new vitality of private economy into the high-quality development of Chenzhou.
